Beyond its role as a skill-building platform, WINTERHEAT serves as an invaluable opportunity for Emergency Communications (EmComm) operators. Leveraging the event, EmComm groups can coordinate emergency communication activities, assessing mission functionality and readiness for potential crises. This is the fifth year for this event.
Last Year over 990 participants made over 270,000 contacts.
The event is open to all FCC licensed amateur radio operators.
All contacts shall be via FM-voice but can be either analog or digital (Fusion, D-STAR, DMR).
